Blog world

I never even realised blogs existed until going into the world of adoption.

It seems that if you adopt, there is an expectation to blog!

Add to blogging, facebook and skype and the world is suddenly a very small place.

I started blogging while we were stuck in Uganda and trying desperately to come home with my daughter.  Other people I know, started their blogs long before they even met their children.  Their blogs relive the whole process.  The wait!  The journey.

Others set up blogs because their lives suddenly took on a major challenge.  Lives were uprooted and people took up the challenge of moving all that know and love to spend their lives in Uganda.  I remember after going to meet up with the Riley family, who at the time, lived ten minutes down the road from me, I came home with a business card with their blog address on.  Days before they moved their lives and family to Uganda.

Along my own journey I have read blogs of people who I have actually met.  I have read blogs of people I have never met but have adopted children who I knew since 2005, children who grew up and shared a home with my little girl.  Then there are those that I have never met and may never meet, but our journey's have crossed and I have followed their stories.

I live in hope of meeting others who openly share their adoption stories and journeys and hearing how so many more children have come home to their forever families.

Not all the blogs I read are Ugandan adoption related.  Some are general family life, some share experiences, some share faith, some share parenting.  All very interesting people with extra ordinary lives.

If you would like to follow some of these amazing stories, that are real people, living very real lives, then take a look across to the right hand side of my blog screen.  There are some quick links to the blogs I regularly visit.  They are blogs that are regularly updated and I promise, are blogs that will astound you and keep you on the edge of your seat.

Take a look - you too may get hooked!

And if you're really brave, why not get sharing your own amazing stories and get your own blogs set up.
