I can see the sea!

We woke up after a very late New Year's Eve.  Lutaaya became fascinated with Auntie Andrea's sleeping bag.  She's never seen one before so it proved too much for her and she just had to try it out herself.  She became a human caterpillar crawling along the floor.

You would have thought this little girl would have been very tired today but no, she was full of life.  So we headed to Swansea for the day.  This was to be the first time Lutaaya saw the sea, and she loved it.  She has no fear of water what so ever, which can been seen as good or bad depending on how you look at it.  She loved the water lapping over her shoes.  I can't wait for the weather to get a bit better so she can actually paddle in the sea.  There were a lot of firsts today for Lutaay, as she had never seen anything associated with the sea.  What is this?  was asked quite a lot, t learn about shells, pebbles, seaweed, to name just a few.

It was also a realisation that it was safe to sit on the rocks and paddle in the sea, as we don't have crocodiles in Wales.  Something Lutaaya hadn't realised before today.

As the darkness started to cover the skies and evening crept in, we made our way to winter wonderland.  At first the bright lights and loud music made Lutaaya want to stop and stare at it all, taking it all in.  Then she became brave and asked to try some of the rides.  Now anyone who knows me, will know rides are not my forteit.  I am normally the one who minds the bags.  Today though my daughter taught me to take a small risk.  I went on every ride with her, and to hear her giggle, gasp, shout and laugh on each and every one was well worth the risk.

Then Auntie Andrea gave Lutaaya a treat.  A chance to go ice skating on the outdoor rink.  Lutaaya struggled to balance but she tries everything she is offered the opportunity to experience.  She tried so hard o stand and skate, and I'm sure with more time, she'd have worked out how to balance.
